Registration Guidelines

TEAM NUMBERS

Players will be accepted up to the max number for a team as discussed with coaches, and then they will be wait listed until the minimum number is reached to form another team.
• Novice, Pee Wee, and Bantam (min 12 – up to 24 runners per team)
*1 – 24 initial registration for 1 team
*25 – 30 wait list
*25 – 40 registration for 2 teams
•Up to 2 Goalies per team will be accepted and these players may jump the queue over runners if goalies are needed to complete a team.

While these are numbers we have to take into account, rotating rosters, players playing multiple sports, family vacations, etc are also used while determining when we should create a waiting list for a division. It us up to MJLAX and the coach of each division to determine when we should create a waiting list. In creating a waiting list it gives us time to make sure we have proper coaching in place, extra equipment, jerseys, adequate practice/game time and officiating for added teams.

WAIT LIST

Any players that remain on the wait list at the end of the registration cycle will have the option of being released to play in a neighboring association if space permits.

Players will not be released until our registration has closed. Other associations Estevan/Weyburn don’t open their registrations until late February/early March. Regina’s registration closes March 20th. Declaration for the number of teams in each division has to be submitted to South Sask Lacrosse League by March 17 for the upcoming season.

Registration Closure:
• Mini Tykes and Tykes-will remain open until the start of their season (end of March/early April) or until they fill to capacity.
• Novice, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget – will close prior to the assessments being completed (March 15).
